Aspen
A Musical Adventure

Aspen was a beautiful place to visit. We enjoyed the breathtaking scenery, the relaxing atmosphere, and the opportunity to hear Kevin perform at the Aspen Music Festival. Join us in a pictorial history of our adventure.

Aspen is a charming little mountain town. Everything is lush and green.

Flowers abound. Color is everywhere as you stroll along the streets.

We enjoyed the walkways and courtyards between all of the little shops and restaurants.

There were relaxing places to stop and have a snack or make a phone call.

There were interesting things along the street in front of the shops.

Kevin showed us his apartment. It is a nice two bedroom place with a small kitchen. He has one housemate.

The venue for the performances was delightful.

Check out this video taken at the rehersal of Shostakovich Symphony No. 10 in E minor. The conductor is Thomas Sondergard, the principle conductor of the BBC National Orchestra of Wales.

We spent a lovely morning taking the Silver Queen Gondola to the sumit of Aspen Mountain, 11,212 feet. We went on a ranger led hike and then wandered a bit on our own. The views were spectacular and the scenery was beautiful.
